Coaching vs. Counseling
Unlike counseling, coaching does not profoundly explore past experiences, traumas, or hurts. Instead, coaching focuses on setting goals and taking actions in the present to impact the future. Coaches do not diagnose or treat mental illness, though coaches may provide references to mental health professionals If needed. Think of a Coach as an Architect (building something for the future) whereas a Counselor is an Archeologist (digging into the past) to uncover buried truths that need processing and healing.
Who Do I Coach?
When I look back at all the things God has taken me through; it's so many different paths. I’ve worked in various careers and volunteered with women of all ages.
When I consider who I want to help (my "target audience" so to speak), my heart is drawn mostly to Christian women who live with consistent anxiety and doubts, to help them overcome those fears by drawing closer to God. By naturally tapping into your strengths and interests, we’ll find ways that are organic and fun for you to deepen that relationship with God so you’ll be free to hear where He leads you and confident enough to follow into those adventures!
Choosing Faith over Fear is a mantra I've lived my life by and it's led me across the ocean and back; moving to 4 new cities as a single woman; trusting God with my finances, my jobs, my grief, my disappointing relationships and ultimately with my marriage. I've personally sought God and made decisions in each of those processes and am excited to partner with you in them too!
